Scott was lovely- we couldn’t figure out how to turn on the heater but as we were out, Scott provided us with a portable heater instead. Our baby was freezing so this proactiveness to help solve our challenge was very appreciated. Benowa garden shopping centre was a 5 min drive away and there were lovely breakfast options. The one thing I would say is that it would be great if there’s a drying rack for the pots/pans/ utensils - most of the time we had to leave the area wet (we tried drying the items with paper towels we had) , and there was quite a bit to dry because we had to cook for our toddler. Our toddler had fun exploring the accommodation and a portable cot was available too :) thank you Scott!

We had a fantastic stay at this property in the Gold Coast! The home was clean, well-equipped, and very comfortable. The location was absolutely perfect—close to the beach, cafes, shops, and everything we needed. It made getting around super easy and enjoyable. The host was responsive and welcoming, and we really appreciated the thoughtful touches throughout the space. Highly recommend this place for anyone visiting the area!

We had a wonderful time at Scott’s place. It was exceptionally clean, quiet and private and had everything you needed. The wonderful hosts were very helpful and responsive. I would give an A+ for communication, lots of info even before you arrive. We plan to stay here again in future. Thank you Jo, Rod and Scott.

The shack was really nice, especially the comfortable bed. l was very very happy to have a bathrobe included to use. There were lots of coffee capsules to choose from even though we didn't use them . The two ice creams in the freezer was an amazing treat surprise. lovely shampoo.conditioner and body wash too.

My partner and I had a lovely stay at Scott’s place! The place was bigger than anticipated, very private, clean and in a peaceful location yet still close to Surfers (about a 10 min drive).

Incredible hosts who made us feel right at home. The moment you pull up you know you've made a great choice. Room and garden are just outstanding, safe secure spacious off road parking, outstanding walks on the doorstep. public transport to Surfers is a breeze and a cheap Uber trip home. We can't say enough about the accommodation but also our awesome hosts; thank you, thank you thank you. Had friends visit for a BBQ and the bbq was spotless, the outside area perfect for us and our 2 guests. We were sad to go down the drive after our 11 night stay. Don't think twice; just book it! An amazing stay, Jo and Scott were extremely helpful and responsive. The location was quiet and private, but close to Broadbeach/surfers. Would 100% recommend staying at “The Shack” and I would definitely stay here again.

This place is fresh, modern and private. Would recommend. The only minor thing is the hot water was not hot in the shower, other than that we loved our stay. The beach towels were such a nice touch, thank you!!

We had a lovely stay. The apartment had everything we needed. It was well designed with beautiful furnishings and decor. It felt private and cozy, perfect for relaxing after busy days out and about. The hosts were very friendly and quick to respond to messages. We would definately stay here again.
